ATK Insights Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the ATK Insights Chrome extension (“ATK Insights”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you install and use the extension. By using ATK Insights, you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

ATK Insights is published by the developer account shown on the ATK Insights listing in the Chrome Web Store. ATK Insights helps inspect Alibaba International shopfronts and product link quality in the browser, with connection to a backend API that you authenticate against (default or user-configured).

2. Information we process

Depending on how you use ATK Insights, we may process the following categories of information:

• Configuration and credentials you provide. API Base URL (when editable), access token or login credentials used to obtain tokens, and preferences such as log level and selected evaluate / defect rules. These values are stored in Chrome extension storage on your device.
• Local analysis data. Recent link-quality, defect-scan, or sample-analysis reports and cached category schema, stored locally in your browser.
• Page information used for analysis. Product and shop information that is available on Alibaba International pages you open. This information is processed in the browser to generate analysis results.
• Seller session cookies (feature-specific). Only when you use category-schema collection or related account-switch features. Cookies are used solely to access seller-side pages that your existing login already permits.

Core diagnostic features require completing auth in Options (login or access token) so that rules can be loaded from the business backend and cached locally.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above only to:

• provide shop insights, link quality checks, link defect scanning, and sample / batch analysis;
• sync evaluate / defect rules and category schema with the backend API that you authenticate against;
• remember your preferences and recent local reports on your device.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use extension data for unrelated advertising or for profiling unrelated to ATK Insights features.

4. Network requests and third parties

• Alibaba International domains (*.alibaba.com): used to read pages and call endpoints required for ATK Insights features on product, shop, and group pages.
• Your configured API host (default https://dts.3biu.cn, or another host you save): used after auth succeeds and any required host permission is granted. Requests use your token to call GraphQL APIs that you control or that your organization operates.

If you connect ATK Insights to a third-party or organization-operated backend, that backend’s own privacy terms also apply to data processed on that server.

5. Storage and retention

Settings and local caches remain on your device until you clear extension data, remove local caches in ATK Insights Options, or uninstall the extension. We do not operate a separate ATK Insights cloud account database for end users beyond the backend your organization configures. Any server-side retention for a connected API is governed by the operator of that API.

6. Your choices

• Sign out in Options to clear local credentials.
• Clear local schemas or reports in extension Options.
• Revoke optional host permissions under chrome://extensions → ATK Insights → Details.
• Uninstall ATK Insights to remove its local extension storage.

7. Children’s privacy

ATK Insights is intended for business / professional use and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top of this page will be revised when changes are posted. Continued use of ATK Insights after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
